Violin Teacher
Violinist Bram Margoles has been a member of the Alabama Symphony’s first violin section since 2021. Bram is also currently a member of the Des Moines Metro Opera Orchestra, and is a substitute player in the Nashville Symphony and the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra. Prior to being in Birmingham, Bram has been a member of The Orchestra Now in New York, the Ann Arbor Symphony in Michigan, and has appeared internationally at the Pacific Music Festival in Sapporo, Japan, and the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival in Germany. Bram holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in Violin Performance from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, studying with professors Aaron Berofsky and David Halen.
As a teacher, Bram loves teaching students of all ages and ability levels, and is a Suzuki certified teacher in books 1-4. Bram’s teaching style focuses on building strong foundations of violin technique and musicianship, while always being continually inspired by a love for the experience of music making. Through music lessons and the student’s individual practice of their instrument, the ultimate goal is to foster a positive, genuine love for the process of learning, and to celebrate all of the mistakes and successes that come along the journey.
